The affordable translation bud that survives its own reviews
Translation earbuds have a reputation problem: premium brands charge four times more for the same physics, and the cheap ones claim on-device AI that does not exist. Your shelf needs a product that is honest at an entry price.
Entry price, premium shelf. The B1 sits at the accessible end of the category next to brands charging far more, and it does not have to compete on their claim — it competes on driver, call quality, fit and a case you can print. That is a shelf conversation a buyer can understand in one look.
Honesty is the returns policy. Saying plainly that the phone does the interpreting stops the “it doesn't work without my phone” return, the one-star review and the marketplace delisting. We write the box line and the manual page with you so the claim is identical on both.
Three SKUs from one tooling base. Case printing, tip mix and the choice between blister, gift box or a promo card turn the same pair of buds into a travel accessory, a promotional give-away pack or a seasonal gift SKU — one tooling set, one production slot, three price points.
Claim limits we hold you to. The B1 is a consumer audio product. No hearing-aid, tinnitus or sound-therapy claims, no medical or audiology wording, and no “certified meeting minutes” or legally valid transcript claims. Live notes are a convenience feature the user edits. Send us your box copy and listing text and we will mark up anything we would not print ourselves.
Ask any supplier for two real numbers: the actual interpretation latency from end of sentence to spoken answer in the app you will ship, and the microphone count that works on a noisy street rather than in a studio demo. We give you both, measured on the production firmware, and we will tell you which one is marketing.

Certificate scans are not published on this site: the report must match the hardware revision on your order, and our EU customers receive them under NDA as part of the quotation pack.

- Do the B1 earbuds translate without a phone?
- No, and the box does not say otherwise. Interpretation runs in the companion app on the phone; the buds carry audio, mics and an offline command set. An on-device EN↔ES offline pack is an optional firmware tier at 2,000 units. Phone-assisted is the honest positioning, and it is what keeps the return rate down.
- How long does the battery really last in translation mode?
- About 6 h for ordinary audio, about 3.5 h of continuous interpretation, because both the mics and the link stay active. The 480 mAh case adds roughly three recharges. We send the measured loop test with your sample so your listing quotes a number you have seen.
- Can you do an open-ear version?
- Yes — the open-ear variant shares the same board, so it comes from the same tooling base with a different ear-hook shell. Tell us the shell colour and tip or hook mix before we quote, because the change sits at the 1,000-unit colour tier.
- Which languages does the B1 cover, and does the audio leave the phone?
- Cloud interpretation covers the main European and Asian languages, with the exact pair list defined by the app and firmware version you order. In standard use the captured audio goes to the cloud engine we configure; engine and hosting region are named in the datasheet, and from 2,000 units you can run your own engine or keys in a white-label app.
